Imelda Newton joins Arctic Intelligence as business development manager
Arctic Intelligence is pleased to announce that Imelda Newton has joined Arctic Intelligence as Business Development Manager in Sydney.
With more than 20 years’ experience in the financial services technology sector, Imelda will develop Arctic Intelligence’s global expansion, working closely with strategic partners and helping to drive customer success.
Before moving to Arctic Intelligence, Imelda held senior roles with Equifax, most recently as Global Fraud & Identity Leader based in the USA, and General Manager Fraud & Identity for Veda Australia (acquired by Equifax). During this time she gained a deep knowledge of technology solutions for fraud detection, identity verification and anti-money laundering obligations. Prior to Equifax, Imelda was the Managing Director of Australia & New Zealand at SunGard (now FIS). Imelda also spent several years with KPMG as a senior manager in the Information Solutions division, specialising in treasury solutions.
“An introduction three years ago provided me with an opportunity to be close to the Arctic Intelligence business. When presented with the opportunity to formally play a role in the company’s next growth phase I knew it was the right time to return to Australia. The need for technology to address the continual regulatory changes and simplify the compliance process has become more important than ever before.” says Imelda.
Since it was founded in 2013, Arctic Intelligence has launched several market leading RegTech technology solutions including AML Accelerate, a cloud-based money laundering risk assessment, and Health Check, an audit and assurance platform designed to help regulated businesses and their professional advisers assess the design and operational effectiveness of compliance programs.
In the global RegTech sector, Arctic Intelligence has continued to win awards, having been selected by RegTech Analyst for the RegTech100 for 2019, and reaching number 9 in the Planet Compliance RegTech Top 100 list.
